Hmm, Iraq on fire, Afghanistan melting down, New Orleans in ruins, and the deficit spiraling out of control.

Bush never dreamed he'd hit such a superfecta of shame. So what's missing? Oh, yeah, gotta throw a bone to the bigots:

President Bush will promote a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage at a Rose Garden event Monday.

The Senate is to vote on the amendment Tuesday. It would prohibit states from recognizing same-sex marriages.

Erm, Mr. President... Rose Garden? If you're going to flaunt your hetero machismo, shouldn't you have chosen a spot that's a little more butch — like, say, an aircraft carrier? You look so hot in that flight suit!
