Dear [person who hasn't gotten around to opting out of the mailing-list]:
President Obama's shit-sandwich agenda is under siege! [Some Democratic Rep who's barely more liberal than your average Blue Dog] said [some generic quote s/he won't back up with action].
Republicans are resorting to lies and innuendo to trash the plan that promises to put human excrement on every American's dinner table. The evil GOP thinks, instead, that what we need is a puke sandwich.
Will you be able to live with yourself... if you don't make a donation to MoveOn and call your Rep to demand poop patties on every plate?

* "to break with Obama and the party on this is the ultimate disloyalty"
* "This is the ultimate measure of whether you are part of the team, and the consequences of defeat on health care need to be made clear- yes, crystal clear- to everyone."

We shouldn’t forget our political opponents’ humanity, nor should we stoop to cheap attacks, innuendo and ridicule when we have ample disagreements on substance. If I’m not mistaken, that’s the Obama spirit.Unless, of course, race-baiting and leveraging misogyny and CDS are some sort of antidote to cheap attacks, innuendo, and ridicule.
The irony of the conservative objection that it will “destroy the health insurance industry” (as if that were a bad thing) is that the public option is designed to save the industry from our real need for a single-payer system.Nice cartoon atop linked post, too!
