'Rich in PA' writes: Is there any chance the WH wanted it left in...so they'd have a better public case for vetoing it? Iknow that seems outlandish, but isn't this the bill that the WH threatened to veto because of the detention provisions? Maybe they wanted the cover of a really bad bill...but then I'm not sure why Levin would say this, unless of course he wants to pull the rug out from under the WH's strategy.
