The natural state of the progressive mind would seem to be "self-delusion." An activist wrote a piece for counterpunch a few days ago rightfully taking Bill McKibben to task for tweeting the following: "the president acted decisively and bravely–and he listened to people, not money. a good day".
This, the recent stance on contraception, just sops to a hostile base, that he hopes will carry him through election.
