But you are not doing anything close to revolutionary by voting third party when the candidate has zero chance of winning.

If you had started and organized a viable third party that might actually win the presidency, you might be able to think of yourself as approaching "revolutionary."

Our Founders were idealists but they were also realists.

An example of their realism is our Constitution, which is a series of compromises -- so many significant compromises that James Madison, who is widely referred to as the Father of our Constitution, was not pleased with the final version. Nevertheless, Madison worked hard to get our Constitution ratified.

Benjamin Franklin, though he supported ratification of the Constitution, was also not pleased with the final version. He said that it was probably the best we could get and encouraged anyone thinking of NOT signing it to "doubt a little of his own infallibility."

Our Constitution is what was "politically feasible" at the time.
