Republicans suck. Now, on to the Democrats.

Why would the Democrats and the Republicans need to spend hundreds of millions of dollars to convince the 99% that they are concerned about those whose interests their ads state they care about?
Maybe we don't understand how much they care about us because their policies are regulated more by the money they use to convince us that they care about us, instead of by the votes they would get if they really did care.
