Digby is a Democrat first... liberal second. Attkins is a Democrat first... neoconservative second. I only go there to see where the edge of the establishment left stands... and, in Attkins' case, to see who we need to bomb and/or kill next in our quest to bring about world peace.
I quit reading digby some time ago. If Obama screwed a goat on the Capitol steps, she would write a piece about how goat screwing is essential in defending us from the evil predations of Republicans and terrorists, in that order.
Jayhawk, let's be fair to Digby.
In your scenario, she'd write "It's beyond me why a Democratic president would screw a goat on the Capitol steps, but that's as good an option as we have today."
