Every Obama supporter I know prides themselves on their ability to think rationally and looks down upon non-Democrats as being irrational sheep voting against their self-interests.
The irony is beyond compare.
When I ask if they will support Romney if he follows Obama's policies on civil liberties, drones, environmental protections, trade agreements, etc..., most don't even know what I'm talking about.
All that most seem to know is that "Rethugs" are vewwy, vewwy, baaad, and that Dems are "for the people".
The few that are aware of Obama's "accomplishments" have consciously decided that principles are secondary where the team is concerned and don't seem to care.
If Romney gets elected, they will pull a shameless 180 and go back to "caring" about the "vitally important" issues that arise only when the other side is in power.
Too bad most of the Democrats they elect for won't join them for another "turnaround." One or two tokens a la' Kucinich is the best they'll get.
